Before construction ramps up, something meaningful happened inside our new building.
Over 55 volunteers gathered this week to unload and carry in our brand-new chairs. These are the chairs that will be used throughout the building, including our future worship center. But for many of those volunteers, this wasn’t just a serve day.
It was their first time ever stepping foot inside the new space.
Before walls are moved. Before rooms are finished. Before construction begins in full.
People walked in, looked around, and realized: this is real.
Hands carried chairs through unfinished hallways. Conversations happened in rooms that will soon hold worship, prayer, and community. Laughter echoed in a building that is still becoming what it’s meant to be. It was a powerful reminder that this project isn’t just about construction… it’s about people being invited in early.
These chairs will serve every corner of the building. They’ll be sat in during worship. They’ll hold people during moments of prayer, teaching, and transformation. And before any of that happens, they were carried in by the very people who make Awaken Church what it is.
To every volunteer who showed up… thank you. You didn’t just move furniture. You helped claim the space.
And to every person who has committed to and given toward The Future Is Now… this moment exists because of you. Your generosity turned vision into tangible progress before construction even begins.
As we move forward, our heart remains the same: we’re believing for 100% participation in The Future Is Now, not equal giving, but equal sacrifice… as each of us responds in faith to what God has placed in our hands.
