To every Future Is Now partner,
I wanted to get this update to you because there is a lot happening right now, both at our current home and at our future home, and I want you to see all of it.
Over the next few weeks, you are going to start seeing some things shift here at our current location.
Rooms will begin clearing out. Furniture will start moving. Some spaces will consolidate as we get closer to our move.
You will also see our worship center begin to look noticeably different. We are going to start disassembling equipment and platform elements as we prepare for a temporary transition season while construction continues. I will be sharing more details about exactly what that season looks like very soon.
But I want you to know this: from the beginning, we committed to being responsible stewards with this project. So as many of our platform components as possible are being carefully taken down to be reused and repurposed in the new space.
What you see happening here is not loss. It is preparation for what is ahead.
March has been incredibly busy. All cylinders are firing.
On the children’s side of the building, there is activity everywhere. Plumbing is going in. Electrical is being installed. HVAC systems are being run. Metal studs are up. Drywall is going in. The rooms are actually starting to take shape now. You can walk through and begin to see where classrooms will be, where kids will gather, where ministry will happen.
All the finishes for this area have now been finalized, including lobby flooring and millwork for the children’s classrooms. And in several areas, construction is ahead of schedule. This side of the building will continue moving quickly.
But the biggest transformation is happening in the worship center.
In the last update I mentioned that the exterior walls had to be reinforced so the second-story concrete floor could be removed. Right now, the construction crews are doing the detailed, dangerous work of cutting out that concrete slab and all of its metal reinforcement. It is slow and careful work.
But when it is finished, something incredible will happen. What used to be a 10-foot ceiling in that space will become a 30-foot worship center.
The HVAC is being rerouted. Pillars that used to sit in the middle of the room will be removed. New steel beams will arrive to carry the weight of the structure instead.
The entire space is being reshaped. All of this so we can create a worship center designed for the future of what God wants to do through this church.
This has never been just about a building.
It is about the kids who will grow up learning the gospel in those classrooms. The students who will discover their calling. The families who will find hope. The people who will walk through those doors looking for grace.
That is what we are building for.
You stepped in. You made a commitment. You gave. And because of that, every piece of progress you just read about is happening.
