What once lived in drawings, plans, and prayers is now unfolding in real time.
The new home of Awaken Church is in construction.
For months, the vision for our future home was something we could imagine but not yet see. Today, crews are on-site, materials have arrived, walls have come down, and foundations are being prepared.
This is no longer a “someday” conversation. It’s happening now.
From the very beginning, this project has been approached with wisdom, intentionality, and stewardship. Every phase is carefully planned. Every step is measured. Every dollar is handled with care.
We are not rushing the process.
We are not cutting corners.
We are not building beyond what we believe God is providing.
We are laying the groundwork for a space designed to carry the weight of ministry for decades to come.
Seasons like this often begin with progress that isn’t immediately visible, but make no mistake, real movement is already happening.
Intentional Stewardship From Day One
Appliances, lighting, and furniture were carefully removed and preserved for reuse wherever possible — a decision rooted in wise stewardship.
Full Interior Demolition Completed
Walls, ceilings, HVAC systems, electrical components, and doors have all been cleared, creating a blank canvas so the building can be rebuilt the right way.
Plumbing Infrastructure Installed
Concrete floors were sawed and removed to allow for new rough plumbing. That plumbing has already been installed and inspected, and crews are currently backfilling trenches — marking the completion of another major phase.
Structural Preparation in the Worship Center
New piers have been drilled in the future worship center to support the structure that will carry the life of that room for years to come.
Key Materials Already Delivered
Steel, rebar, and seating have arrived and are staged for upcoming phases — an important signal that the project is not waiting on supply chains or wondering what’s next.
Let us say it clearly:
We are not paused.
We are not stalled.
We are not guessing.
We are building — step by step — with purpose.
Construction is actively shifting from preparation into visible progress.
Plumbing trenches are currently being inspected, and once approved, new concrete will be drilled, dowelled, and poured this month.
At the same time, grade beams are being formed and will soon be inspected and poured — a stage where the structure begins to feel solid, not just prepared.
Framing materials are also arriving, signaling a major milestone ahead:
Walls are beginning to rise in the new Children’s area.
Rooms will take shape.
Hallways will form.
Spaces designed for life change will begin to emerge.
This is not a distant timeline measured in years.
It is unfolding in weeks.
We are moving from invisible progress to visible form.
The upcoming phase will begin to reveal the true scale of what God is building.
Existing tilt walls will be reinforced to stabilize the structure and prepare it to safely carry the new design. Major steel components — beams, girders, and structural supports — will soon be installed, dramatically reshaping the future worship center.
Perhaps the most defining step ahead is the removal of the second floor above the worship center.
This final demolition phase allows the new structure to be built with strength and intention rather than limitation.
It is the moment when the building stops looking like what it used to be — and starts looking like what it’s becoming.
We are not simply building for opening day.
We are building for generations.
For people we have not met yet.
For stories we have not heard yet.
For a future already coming into focus.
And with each passing week, that future becomes more visible.
